Break bags!

What is a break bag?

Break bags are backpacks or boxes filled with kid-friendly, shelf-stable foods that children can take home before long school breaks. Many students rely on school meals during the week, and extended breaks can create gaps in access to nutritious food. Break bags help bridge that gap by providing easy, ready-to-eat items that keep kids nourished while school is closed — ensuring they return after the break fed, supported, and ready to learn.

How can you help

We gratefully accept both monetary and in-kind donations. Financial contributions have an especially big impact — thanks to our community partnerships, we’re able to stretch every dollar even further. We also welcome donated items; please see the list below for what’s most needed.

Not able to give right now? You can still make a difference by spreading the word or by volunteering to help sort and pack break bags. Every bit of support helps ensure kids have what they need during long school breaks!
